About this Organization
Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to meeting the needs of residents who lack adequate housing. They work in partnership with people in need to build, renovate and repair decent affordable housing. Houses built are then sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Services provided are based on the individuals need.

Programs
Home Ownership Program
Habitat for Humanity is best known for its home build construction. Habitat does not give away houses, instead, we offer local residents the opportunity to purchase a home at an affordable price. In this program, staff and volunteers work alongside qualified home buyers as they build their own home. When construction is complete, the new homeowner purchases their home through a commitment fee and a low-interest rate loan, making it affordable for their budget.
Critical Home Repair Program
The purpose of this program is to create a safe, healthy, accessible, and affordable home for existing homeowners. The Critical Home Repair program is not meant to complete typical homeowner tasks (mowing the lawn on a regular basis, cleaning gutters, changing air filters, etc.) or make cosmetic repairs due to homeowner neglect.

Volunteers are the driving force behind our mission to provide affordable housing solutions in Carroll County. No matter what your experience level and interests are, there is a way for you to help. If you have skills in construction, finance, event planning and/or execution, fundraising, public relations, marketing, social media, video/photography, or office assistance, we need you! We also need regular volunteers in our ReStore.
