NAACP provides political, social, economic and educational status of minority groups; provide racial harmony and eliminate racial prejudice; to increase public awareness of the adverse effects of racial discrimination, and where such discrimination is found, to secure its elimination. They take public positions on matters that uniquely affect the well being of the minority community.
