Catholic Charities Head Start
Catholic Charities Head Start of Carroll County is a free, MSDE-accredited early childhood education program for income-qualifying Carroll County families with children ages 3–5. Federally funded and serving over 190 families annually, Head Start prepares children for kindergarten while connecting families with resources to become strong and self-sufficient.
Services include:
- Classroom-based learning at multiple Carroll County sites
- Individualized activities for social, emotional, and academic growth
- Nutritious meals, snacks, and nutrition education
- Free dental exams
- Inclusive services for children with disabilities (ADA/IDEA)
- GED opportunities through the Families Learning Together partnership
- Adult classes in child development, job training, health, and nutrition
- Help and referrals for health, substance abuse, and job loss
Who qualifies: Carroll County residents from income-qualifying families. No cost to eligible families.
