The Mediation Center offers free mediation services to Carroll County residents, businesses and organizations at times and locations convenient to participants. Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process in which neutral mediators help people find a resolution to their conflict. Our mediators are all volunteers who are professionally trained. The Mediation Center also provides conflict resolution trainings.

Voices for Children advocates for abused and neglected children who are court involved to determine a permanent plan. It is run by trained volunteers who conduct independent investigations to determine what placement or services is best for the child.

Serving Carroll, Frederick and Washington Counties, Potomac Case Management provides mental health case management for adults and care coordination for children, youth, and their families. PCMS’ focus is on assisting clients and families to maintain the highest level of independence possible. PCMS staff support and encourage each person in their journey of becoming integrated into the community or maintaining stabilization with services and supports that help build safe bridges. Services are offered at varying levels, which are dependent upon the individual's strengths, needs, and goals. Through accessing appropriate resources and utilizing natural supports, clients are more likely to succeed and have long-term positive results. PCMS is excited to be working in Carroll County and we look forward to building relationships with our community providers and being a part of a community that strives to improve the lives of all of its' citizens.

Meals on Wheels is an all volunteer agency which delivers nutritious meals to homebound persons of any age or economic status, who are unable to shop and/or prepare meals for themselves.

Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to meeting the needs of residents who lack adequate housing. They work in partnership with people in need to build, renovate and repair decent affordable housing. Houses built are then sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged. Services provided are based on the individuals need.

The Get Connected Resource Center is a free service for Carroll County families in learning, navigating and managing systems of care as they become advocates for their children. Dads Works / Moms Works is a support group and parenting program in Carroll County Maryland that benefits Dads and Moms, and their families. Our focus is to help improve Dad’s and Mom’s relationship with their child and their child’s other parent. We help improve interpersonal relationships through communication and relationship skills, teach parenting skills, teach anger management techniques along with skills to prevent domestic violence. We also provide weekly support groups for fathers on Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings, and for mothers on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

The purpose of the Community Foundation is to maintain and enhance the community’s quality of life through philanthropic means. The Civil Air Patrol is the official civilian auxiliary of the US Air Force. Civil Air Patrol’s Cadet program provides young people between 12 and 21 the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through their interest in aviation. As cadets make progress, they have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities including encampments on military bases, orientation flights and a variety of national activities.

CHANGE, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that offers individuals with a developmental disability the opportunity to live more independently as an active member of their community. The organization was founded in 1954 as a Children's Program by parents who realized a structured program was needed to care for the needs of their children with developmental disabilities. In 1969, the program was incorporated under the name Carroll Haven Center and expanded services to include adults as well as children. In 1992, the name, CHANGE Inc., was adopted. What first started as a small local program in Carroll County to address the needs of a few children has now grown to servicing four counties and nearly 200 adults.

Catastrophic Health Planners provides free support through educational development, supporting both State and Federal disability programs, information on financial planning, legal and medical accounting advice and counseling referrals to those facing a catastrophic health event. Carroll Technology Council provides technology leadership, information, and resources to develop members’ businesses, build strong community partnerships, and advance technology in Carroll County, MD. The Tech Council leads the way for Carroll County to be recognized as a technically advanced community with innovative businesses and a tech-savvy citizenry. Carroll Child Care Center serves families of all income levels by offering a healthy environment in which children can discover, learn and grow. Carroll County’s oldest and most credentialed program for the education and care of very young children, ages six weeks and older, takes place at 224 North Center Street, in Westminster, opposite the County government office building.
